Memphis 3.0 Plan


This plan, the 1st for the City since 1985, could play a crucial role in determining what resources will flow to the Frayser community in the coming years.  It is important that the Frayser community participate i this process, and show how Frayser can plan a role in the growth of our City.  Planned events in Frayser include:

  • Workshop #1 - Community Asset Mapping. Monday, January 8, 5:30 pm @ Ed Rice Community Center
  • Workshop #2 - Day 1, Neighborhood Tours - Tuesday, January 23, 9:00 - noon; noon - 1:30 @ Frayser CDC, 3684 N Watkins
  • Workshop #2, Day 2, Implementation and Strategy Creation - Wednesday, January 24, 9:00 - noon, lunch - noon - 1:30 @ Frayser CDC, 3684 N Watkins
  • Workshop #3 - Implementatino and Strategy Creation - February 28, 5:30 - 8:00 pm, @ Pursuit of God Church, 3171 Signal

Girls Inc. in Frayser

Girls Inc. will have fun-filled, hands-on adventures, field trips, homework time, and more from 2:30 - 6:30 pm on weekdays.  The Girls Inc. Frayser Center is at Union Grove Baptist, 2285 Frayser Blvd., Memphis, TN 38127.  Contact - 918-512-0271

Girls Inc. continue to sell their produce at the Downtown Farmers' Market on Saturdays.

Crime Prevention Grants

Crime Prevention Grants of up to $2,500 are available to Neighborhood Watch Groups to help reduce and prevent crime.  Information is available at 636-6628 or
